Jodi Abercrombie

Client Relationship Manager

For Jodi, family is No. 1. That’s not to say she doesn’t have hobbies or interests – travel, music (including live concerts), and sports are all important to her – but she puts her children, husband, and now grandkids first in her thoughts. So, when you’re talking to Jodi, be sure to ask her what her family is up to, or what she has planned with her husband, Jamey, and through that, you’ll get a full picture of Jodi (because she isn’t one to brag on herself).

And Jodi has plenty to brag on, including a successful banking career and the fact that she’s been a positive influence on countless lives – and not just her family’s. For instance, she has a trained therapy dog that she used to take to nursing homes before Covid intervened. However, she’d much rather talk about what baseball stadiums she and Jamey have been to or want to visit, or how the Braves are doing. (Jamey is a massive Braves fan and watches every game, so Jodi became a huge Braves fan in her own right.)

Ask her about music, and she can tell you about venues that have great atmosphere because of concerts she’s been to with family (she prefers smaller to mid-size halls).

Get her talking, and you’ll also see that, despite being generally easygoing, she’s also motivated and dedicated.

Those attributes combine with a sharp mind to help Jodi figure out how things work. For instance, it helped her adapt to life in Dahlonega when her family moved from the sunshine and sea spray of St. Petersburg, Florida, to the then-tiny north Georgia mountain town (though Dahlonega has changed a lot since Jodi graduated from Lumpkin County High).

Overall, it’s clear to see why SGL offered Jodi the perfect setting for her work life – because it balances a family/team atmosphere with challenging and unique tasks that change from client to client and day to day.

Whatever your questions, she ready and able to help.
